live a life worthy of the calling

It's a web-blog of a simple person who believe in salvation through Christ Jesus. I love taking picture, I love to share the peace and fullness through "the true vine". That's it. I pursue a higher education but that's the other side of my life; the thing is, I want to always live a life worthy of the calling I have received.

Are you sure with your Christian faith?

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Do you believe in that? Yes? No? Do you believe in something more?

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8–9)

If someone believes something more than what is mentioned in Acts 4:12 that drive away the ONLYNESS of salvation through Christ Jesus, someone should reconsider his or her faith. “The gospel” that Paul said in Galatians 1: 8, “but even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!” is about what Peter and John said in Acts 4:12. The gospel is not about the bible, not about all that was written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but it is about IT only, about “salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb” (Revelation 7:10).

The devils know how to deceive; not by refusing it blatantly, because “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, indeed” (John 8:32), but by dissolving the good news of salvation (gospel) with IRRELEVANT things, like “salvation is by grace”… BUT plus … e.g., by doing good work, prayers to saints, to Virgin Mary, going to the church every Sunday, etc and etc. If you still believe in that, reconsider your faith. Even if you can bring the whole earth to church, and still thinking that through your work you get the salvation, you instead lose your salvation.

I will walk to St. James Way, not for the plenary indulgence. Once I believe in that, my salvation will be void.

My conclusion is, the message of the Gospel is simple, it is by grace ONLY trough the blood of Jesus Christ we are justified from sin and thus have eternal life. (See Romans 6:23). Not by ANYTHING else. More than that is from the enemy which will be “thrown into the lake of burning sulfur where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10). Strip away anything that distracts the faith to God and God’s manifest on earth, Christ Jesus, alone.

One thing I should mention, we do good work not because of salvation, but we do good work because we are overjoyed for the salvation through Christ. God is love, but God is just. No one can imagine if He condemns us, even if it is simply because of our ignorant or misunderstanding of the word of God.

“But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)

If you believe in Christ, believe it RIGHTLY.

so what if it’s full of noise? people will later, when the camera will always make clean picture even at unbelievably high ISO, try to find the way to make the noise..
who cares with noise like who cares with sharpness rather than geeks..

    Clueless

Last year I met an old proffesor from Japan. He was interested to my project; don’t know how, he was already informed about my project, was in my presentation, and approached me for a talk just the time we were withdrawing ourselves for  dinner. We had a nice but so brief chat that afterward I tried to introduce my “western” colleague to him. As a western and (I somehow become couple of percent “western” too), she kind of said “hi, nice to meeting you but we are heading for dinner, ciao ciao..” and I somehow left him with pity too. I saw a bitter expression in his face. The day after I came to his presentation to, kind of, greet him and get to know him better. He became a bit unfriendly; this was what I expect and afraid.

    NOW!!

I stumbled to not one or two, but MANY of his papers…

    Feck! Life is somehow mysterious.

The other-half-year ago (Dutch expression of one and a half year ago) I got a PhD paper from my supervisor, the one and only paper I referred and studied at that very moment. Once upon a time, I stumbled with the name of the authors; it gives a hint of Indonesian family name. Later, I found out that my Indonesian pastor know him personally. Later, he joined the steering committee of my project; delegating his company, the bird nest. Couple of month ago we met in a presentation of mine. I am clueless with such the things God hath planned for me.

This year maybe the year without travelling for me. Once I planned to go to Santiago de Compostella but the time just coincide with my friend’s wedding; so, rather than walking, I will attend her wedding somewhere here in NL.
I’d love to visit France again, or a country somewhere near Adriatic sea. Some asked me, how’s Paris for travelling? The answer is bold: people regarded it as a romantic city, I don’t. Somehow it’s a nice place, full of historical building and the museums is top notch; I love it. If somehow you visit Paris, however, I suggested to escape from the bustling environment there and just step out from the crowd. The vicinity of Paris is where to go, actually, for people who craze to impressionism. Giverny is the place for the fan of Monet; I instead went to Moret-sur-Loing, for Alfred Sisley. It’s a quiet but piquant town. I can spend the whole day just lying on the grass by the river there reading something and enjoy the summer breeze. Really a place to live in, though having a car there will be a doom due to the small (and winding :P) road. Just a stone-thrower distance, you may visit Fontainebleau for another impressionism excursion, famous for the School of Fontainebleau; or simply visit the lodgement of the French Monarch; Palace of Fontainebleau; this is where the Kings lived, Versailles was only a castle, resting place. Less impressive than Versailles, indeed, but worth to visit for a history class.

I like the way this picture is. I fill blissful when seeing this picture again and again. I do not know why. Sometimes people start talking about thousands nonsense technical BS on like: bokeh, noise, sharpness, or whatever, but a shot is simply a way to capture the moment. Sometimes, most of the times for me, shots are just personal.
